Music and theatre have always gone hand-in-hand in Tivoli. The Glass Hall Theatre was built in 1946 in the same style as the previous theatre, which burned down and was destroyed during the Second World War. The Glass Hall Theatre bears the design stamp of Poul Henningsen, who was Tivoli's head architect for many years.
