Kähler Tealight House - Tivoli Main Entrance 2025
Since 2019, Tivoli and Kähler have created a series of atmospheric Tivoli Urbania candle houses, celebrating some of the Gardens’ most iconic buildings and landmarks. With this candle house inspired by Tivoli’s Main Entrance, the collection is brought to a fitting conclusion with the gateway that has welcomed millions of guests into Tivoli’s magical world for more than a century.
The current Main Entrance was inaugurated in 1890 and designed by architects Richard Bergmann and Emil Blichfeldt. It replaced the original wooden entrance gate from Tivoli’s earliest years and was built as a distinctive Moorish-inspired façade, which today remains one of Denmark’s most recognizable architectural landmarks.
Kähler’s interpretation captures the unique character of the Main Entrance through intricate cut-out details and refined craftsmanship. The candle house accommodates one tealight on each side, allowing its windows and arches to glow warmly, evoking the magical evenings in Tivoli where light has been an essential part of the experience since the Gardens first opened in 1843.
A beautiful collector’s item for Tivoli enthusiasts and design lovers alike, bringing a piece of Danish cultural history and Tivoli’s enchanting atmosphere into the home.
